It's Time to Vote

The Third Annual ABA Jornal Blawg 100 nominations are out. Voting has begun.

TalkLeft has made it again, no small feat since 40 of the 100 are new this year and some past winners were dropped.

The A-team at TalkLeft: The Politics of Crime—Jeralyn Merritt of Denver, T. Christopher Kelly of Madison, Wis., and Armando Llorens of San Juan, Puerto Rico—take a shamelessly liberal view of crime and justice news and issues.

Quick Take: When Merritt just has to stray off topic, she spares her politics-hungry readers and posts at PopLeft.

Please register (it only takes a few seconds) and vote for us here -- as well as for your other favorite law blogs. And many thanks to those of you who take the time, we really appreciate it.

"shamelessly liberal views" on criminal law and procedure.

I do not chime in much but Jeralyn and TChris pretty much speaks for me on those issues.

Why should anyone think being liberal (none / 0) (#7)
by scribe on Tue Dec 01, 2009 at 07:52:38 AM EST
or having liberal views is something to be ashamed of?

"Unabashedly" or "uncompromisingly" wouldbe much better choices.

And, FWIW, the only people who should be ashamed of themselves are the Rethungs and the enabling DINOs who bring us these injustices daily through their acts and policies.

But when I put my info in where is the button that sends it to Oz for inspection and hopefully eventual acceptance?  I know it must be right in front of my face, but I still can't find it.

I input the password... then they sent an account activation email. It took about 5 minutes after activation was confirmed to actually log in though (I had to try several times and kept being told no luck).

    Parent
That's what people have been trying to do. (none / 0) (#25)

There is no "submit" button once you enter your user name, e-mail address, etc.  Just hitting my "Enter" key didn't work at first - I had to go out and come back in several times before "Enter" made the magic happen - and then I did get an almost-instant e-mail with a link to activate the account.

    And then I voted.

... honest to goodness campaigning for my vote in the meantime.

I don't mean issues, but substantial Real People activities like bad bowling, kicking back boiler-makers and eating some down-home, artery-clogging diner cooking.

Call your shot if you like, but I'm the new Biggest Fan Ever of frozen Jagermeifter after the stuff cleared up the thumbnail mould I experienced while replacing decrepit tile in an extra bathroom. Nothing else worked, not even antibiotics or prayer.
