I'm a little late, and it's a little early for a national speech, but Joe Biden is addressing the nation on gun control. You can watch here.

    a very good speech. His presentation was well-delivered, heartfelt, and substantive. He provided a list of reasonable gun safety measures to be enacted by Congress, citing Scalia, in that the Second Amendment is not an unlimited freedom (e.g., regulation of machine guns).

    While the President called out Republicans as obstacles to gun safety measures twice,  fascist recalcitrance should always be underscored.

    It should not be:  "Congress needs to act", but rather, "Republicans in Congress need to get onboard with reality". After all, it needs to be clearly stated and made understood that reactionary backlash to change is the sole reason for the Republican Party. From that, their hate and fear flow.

    gun "rights."  They are going to need their guns to overturn the tyrannical gummint.
