Hardly a surprise.

Gen. David Petraeus's confirmation hearing is tomorrow to replace McChrystal as the commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and the U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

actually be surprised at the political disposition of Generals.  It can range anywhere from alooft, to liberal, to ultra-conservative.  There is a wide gamut of opinions.
