Tonight at the Oscars and On the Red Carpet

The Red Carpet at tonight's Oscars 2010 has an hour left.

Who do you think looks great and who miscalculated? Too much beige for my taste, but I'm just tuning in.

Sarah Jessica Parker's dress is pretty but it fits her like a sack. Sandra Bullock looks great, many think she'll win Best Actress tonight. Here are the nominees.

Update: Please hold the spoilers as to who wins until all time zones have aired. They start at 6:30 MT (8:00 ET) (Not sure about the west coast, feel free to let us know in comments.)

Two young lovelies in elegant dresses just clunked on stage to present wearing the most insane heavy clunky shoes.  Even if you could possibly walk in them gracefully, ladies, those dresses call for elegant little strappy high-heeled sandals showing as much foot as possible.  Why would you show off your legs and then ruin the line with those ugly clumpy, bottom-heavy things??

ABC7 and Cablevision have made significant progress and have reached an agreement in principle that recognizes the fair value of ABC7, with deal points that we expect to finalize with Cablevision. Given this movement, we're pleased to announce that ABC7 will return to Cablevision households while we work to complete our negotiations.

Jasper Black's hair was a right state. He'd had one of those haircuts where you don't know if you should that's nice or sorry.
    ....
--Oh, do you like it? he said. I thought I'd treat myself to one of those Shoreditch hairdos. It's great isn't it? It's like 7 haircuts in one. It depends what angle you look at it from.
    --It looks a mess.

--Correction, he said. It looks destructured.

his nervousness and seeming bad mood this evening I am predicting the young Elizabeta is on the off ramp. No one I've seen is predicting anyone but Jeff Bridges to win, so it is hard to believe he is nervous about the award.

I know, pointless speculation, but I have to do something to fill the time.

and I got it!  Good night.

thanks you all. I usually have a little show watching party, but was not up to it this year. You were great company!

I think BTD is right, Avatar will be remembered longer. To me that is why it does not need this award. Glad a smaller picture won.

    Great comments everyone (none / 0) (#219)

BTW, Cablevision is prohibited from broadcasting any over the air station unless it has the permission and agreement of that broadcaster to do so.  Once ABC said agreement over, Cablevision could not carry ABC.
