Jane Hamsher of Firedoglake has already touched down in Iowa. I'll be joining her tomorrow morning. We will reprise our roles from the Scooter Libby trial and bring you latest from Des Moines and the Iowa caucuses. We've got our press credentials and reserved space with internet and electrical outlets (not cheap) at the Iowa Events Center (Polk County Convention Complex) where the "big board" will be posting live election night results after the caucuses end.

I can't believe I'm so excited for this caucus to start. Maybe because it will mean we are in final, countdown mode. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter, and with the Iowa caucus, the car is picking up speed! };>

do or don't appreciate? hmmmm, let me check.................um, no, i can find no record of that at all.

tell you what i don't appreciate: a state so genetically undiverse, so small and meaningless, in the grand scheme of things, having such an apparently outsized impact on national elections.

if edwards were to win, all it would mean is that iowa followed its demographics, period.

if it makes iowans feel any better (as if i care), i feel the same way about NH. the only difference is NH is at least near an ocean, so you can go swimming and fishing.

That was funny. I don't pay much attention the horse race anymore. No matter what the media darlings say or predict, it's all a sham. This is not democracy at work. A motely crew of Dem candidates, if there ever was one. Except, of course, my choice: Kucinich. He wants us to vote our hopes, not our fears. Clinton's a warmonger; Obama is just republican lite, a media darling - who the heck cares if Oprah recommends him; Edwards is a rich lawyer running on populist issues.
