Bill Clinton, Larry Craig, and JFK did this sort of thing a lot.  That's what guys like this do.  Even Rudy Giuliani is a frequent flier.
Clarence Thomas, it seems, allegedly sexually harassed only one woman in his life.  No one else came forward before the hearings or since.  That's why the whole thing didn't quite make sense.

There were at least 2 others.

    Sorry to burst your bubble.

Another former Thomas assistant, Sukari Hardnett, made further damaging charges against him. Although Hardnett made it clear she was not accusing Thomas of sexual harassment, she provided the Judiciary Committee with sworn testimony that "if you were young, black, female, reasonably attractive and worked directly for Clarence Thomas, you knew full well you were being inspected and auditioned as a female."

One woman did not accuse him of sexual harassment but only of perhaps ogling attractive women.  The second (Angela Wright) said nothing for sixteen years, claiming "cold feet" although in the overwhelmingly liberal black world helping take down Clarence Thomas's nomination would have only have been a great career move.
Sorry, this whole picture still doesn't make sense, especially in a world that did not believe Monica Lewinsky (despite Bill Clinton's long and well-documented past history or extramarital liaisons) until the stained blue dress appeared.

of knowledge of the facts, but don't let that get in your way.

Angela  Wright, did not get cold feet. In fact she specifically denied that in the link I provided. Other corroborating testimony the Democrats didn't use? Thomas' video rental records- which included pornography. Just as Ms. Hill testified.

    Try again.

Mike Jones, the dude that had sex with and outed Haggard also just happened to have had sex with Craig, the next big name in the news? What a coinky dinky.

Then you got another gay guy who chooses the "gay" toilet in the Denver airport to drop a deuce, but then gets "freaked out" when someone plays a little gay hand jive under his stall wall?

I'm certainly not defending Craig in any way. If he's gay he's gay, so be it.

But it looks to me that there are some lying vultures out for his blood...

How do you know that Craig is gay? He has flatly denied it as has his wife.

Lying vultures? Are you saying that Craig is dead already? Metaphorically dead from obviously lying?

It seems that Jones has more credibility to me than Craig at this point. He was not lying about Haggard, why should he lie about Craig?

to work his evil at the UN Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Other than that, the US is now alone:

Ratification of the Kyoto Protocol was the first official act of the new Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. It was announced by Australia's representative, Howard Bamsey, at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which began Monday in Bali, Indonesia.

I think the ABC report is incorrect. They're referring to the Statesman article to come up with eight accusers, but there's still only five listed in the story--four by name and one anonymous.

The Statesman story has the five, and they reference three that were anonymous in their previous report. So it totals to eight, but only five are "new" allegations. And Mike Jones isn't really "new" because he's been all over the blogs with it, as has Phillips. So it's really only three previously unheard of allegations.

    Anti-Gay Gays (none / 0) (#18)
by john horse on Mon Dec 03, 2007 at 06:38:59 PM EST
Why do some of the most anti-gay politicians like Larry Craig or anti-gay preachers like Ted Haggard turn up later to be closet homosexuals?  I dont have a problem with them having sex with other men.  Thats nobodys business but their own as far as I'm concerned.  I do have a problem with them advocating anti-gay legislation.  They probably grew up with a lot of self-loathing, thinking that their sexual preferrence was "sick" but what is really sick is a society that produces such sexually f*cked up people.

there's no one to lead the republican charge for impeachment proceedings against larry craig. oh, the horror, the horror!

diogenes, could you please provide actual proof of the "well documented past history of extramarital liasons" of bill clinton? as near as i can tell, from a lexis/nexis search, the only documented one was with ms. lewinsky, the rest of the alleged ones have been serially debunked as having no basis in fact, just fantasy. saying it happened isn't the same thing as it actually happening.

hell, i can say george bush is a smart guy, but clearly there's no actual proof of that.
