Tom Tancredo Gets Desperate, Wants DNA From Immigrants

Tom Tancredo didn't do too well in the fundraising department this quarter. His contributions totaled 764,188.87. His operating expenses were 1,192,933.01. In his home state of Colorado, he raised only 47,274.00.

Maybe that's why he's getting this desperate:

Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo wants foreigners seeking visas to join relatives in the U.S. to provide DNA samples to prove their family ties.

The Colorado congressman introduced a bill Tuesday in the House to require the tests, saying documents provided by immigrants to show they are related to U.S. citizens or permanent residents are sometimes sketchy and unreliable.

I thought Republicans were supposed to be the party offering less bureaucracy. I guess not if it makes a good soundbite or you're losing.

Why? Because a liberal government bureaucrat says they aren't related!

Guess we better go get all those cleared of a crime by the use of DNA and throw'em back in jail...

After all, most of had been identified by someone else......

and make sure no american citizens can get their relatives back unless they can afford dna tests in third world countries that may not even have the facilities available to do the tests.

    provide citizenship to illegal aliens??

Why should an Aunt be granted citizenship. If family ties were that important, why did they separate in the first place??

my friends son (a gulf war veteran) have to choose between his wife or his country?

Why should soldiers fighting in Iraq not be allowed to have their family in the country they serve?

why should working taxpaying americans  not be allowed to sponsor their families?

I think we can all agree that the process of having children while on a visa and then applying for citizenship should be abolished, and everyone who's attained citizenship in such a fashion deported.

    Starting with Michelle Malkin.

    IMMIGRANT SLAVES!! (none / 0) (#7)

Why do we allow Illegal Immigrants to be treated as SLAVES (i.e. sub-standard wages, sub-standard working conditions, sub-standard living conditions, etc.) If we would realize that these people are being used as SLAVES, then we could deport them a for Humanitarian Causes!!!

It seems that the NAACP, ACLU, and the AFL-CIO still support slavery after all these years!!
